WVU Core Arboretum is having our fourth annual WV Pawpaw Festival on Saturday, September 24, from 12-5 pm! This family-friendly, free event is open to everyone and will showcase and celebrate the delicious Appalachian tradition of eating pawpaw fruit. We will have pawpaws to sample or purchase, pawpaw dishes prepared by a chef, a talk about pawpaws, live music, food trucks, pawpaw patch tours, lawn games and other outdoor activities, nature activities for kids, etc.
Volunteers for this need will help with setting up for the festival on the evening of Friday, September 23, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and clothes that they do not mind getting dirty. We will be working outside, so please dress for the weather. Thank you!
