WVU Core Arboretum is having our third annual WV Pawpaw Festival on Saturday, September 25, from 12-5 pm! This family-friendly, free event is open to everyone and will showcase and celebrate the delicious Appalachian tradition of eating pawpaw fruit. We will have pawpaws to sample or purchase, pawpaw dishes prepared by a chef, a talk about pawpaws, live music, food trucks, pawpaw patch tours, lawn games and other outdoor activities, nature activities for kids, etc.
Volunteers for this need will help with setting up for the festival on the morning of Saturday, September 25, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and clothes that they do not mind getting dirty. We will be working outside, so please dress for the weather. Thank you!
Current CDC COVID safety protocols must be followed and will be determined based on the nature of the volunteer work. Please be prepared and bring a mask.
