WVU Core Arboretum is having our second annual WV Pawpaw Festival on Saturday, September 28, from 1-5 pm! This family-friendly, free event is open to everyone and will showcase and celebrate the delicious Appalachian tradition of eating pawpaw fruit. We will have pawpaws to sample or purchase, pawpaw dishes prepared by a chef, a talk about pawpaws, live music, lawn games and other outdoor activities, nature activities for kids, food, live music and lots of information about other Arboretum programming.
Volunteers for this need will help with running the festival on the afternoon of Saturday, September 28, from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and clothes that they do not mind getting dirty. We will be working outside, so please dress for the weather. Thank you!
