On Friday, October 21st, the Mountaineer Boys and Girls Club will host its annual Lights On Afterschool event. The event will be held at our Woodburn site (918 Fortney Street, Morgantown, WV) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Lights On Afterschool is national initiative that recognizes afterschool programs and the achievements of their members. This year, the theme of the event is a Fall family carnival.
Volunteers are needed to help with set up beginning at 12:00 p.m. Volunteers will be asked to help set up carnival games, set up tables and chairs, and various other tasks to help prepare for our event. Once the carnival starts at 5:00, volunteers may be asked to supervise carnival games, assist with leading kids through activities, ushering guests to different booths, and helping with other important tasks necessary to the event running smoothly. Volunteers will be needed until roughly 9:00 p.m. to assist with the clean-up associated with running an event of this size.
