Every year, a different National Forest provides a tree for the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for the holiday season. For the first time since 1976, this year's tree was selected from the Monongahela National Forest. To celebrate the tree's 14-stop tour on the way to the Capitol, Downtown Morgantown will hold a block party on Sat Nov 11 from 2:30pm-4:30pm.
This volunteer opportunity for the Event Setup time slot Fri Nov 10 from 9am - noon.
Assistance is needed decorating trees (bulbs on trees, light strings, garlands), movement of equipment, and other related setup duties.
