The Morgantown Restored initiative aims to reinvigorate our city by activating empty storefronts in the Downtown District. During this year's pilot period, five unleased storefronts will be selected for the installation of imagery, arts, and lighting. Come see a space normally closed to access and be a part of the movement to stage empty storefronts with lighting, imagery, and positive energy.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare vacant storefront facades and interiors for installation. Volunteers will meet at 214 High Street on Monday April 24th from 3pm-5pm.
Duties may include:
- Mopping, sweeping
- Window washing, façade washing
- Dusting
- Use of stepstools or ladders
- And more
Equipment and supplies will be provided.
