Join WVU's Office of Sustainability as we track the success of our single stream recycling program by conducting a waste audit! Volunteers will sort through a collection of recyclables from campus, weigh each commodity, and collect data to better understand how much and what types of recyclables we generate on campus. This volunteer opportunity will take place inside an open air facility with minimal heat so we encourage you to dress for the climate and wear closed-toe shoes. We will provide goggles, gloves, masks, and covers to go over your clothing. Lunch will be provided as well. This opportunity is located 11 miles from the main campus. We can accommodate transportation for 8 individuals and ask that the rest be willing to drive separately. We'll meet outside of the Blue Gate entrance of the Coliseum and then travel to the location together.
