Clay County, WV CERT, in partnership with Clay County Schools and local and state emergency response agencies, is hosting a full-scale active shooter response exercise and invites community members to participate. This release also serves to alert the public of planned emergency activity in the area.
Volunteers will arrive to Clay County Middle School by 9:00 am.
This exercise is a critical training event designed to simulate an active shooter situation and test emergency response plans, coordination between agencies, and real-time communication. Volunteers are essential in creating a realistic environment by acting as school staff, teachers, students, parents, or bystanders.

- First Responders (Police Officers, Nurses, EMTs/Paramedics, Firefighters, and 911 Dispatchers)
