The Student Association of Public Health (SAPH) is now accepting winter coat donations on behalf of Lauren's Wish Addiction Triage Center. Lauren's Wish is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization here in Morgantown that is dedicated to supporting individuals suffering from substance use disorders through their recovery journey. Their Addiction Triage Center (Lauren's Wish at Hazel's House of Hope) provides a safe and healthy space for individuals who are seeking placement in a long-term substance use treatment facility. This winter, join us in making a difference by donating new or gently used adult outer layers to help keep their clients warm.
A total of 2 community service hours will be granted for participation. Donations will be accepted outside the School of Public Health Administrative Suite (HSC South, 3rd floor) until January 31st. Please place a slip of paper including your MIX email address in the jacket pocket and send an email with proof to mrc00024@mix.wvu.edu to receive credit for the 2 community service hours.
