Volunteer: Swim Meet Lane TimerAs a lane timer, you are responsible for recording the swimmer's time each race. Each timer is provided a stopwatch and assigned a lane; there are two timers assigned to each lane as well as one back-up timer. All times are recorded, and the average time becomes the official time in the event of a technical malfunction. There will be a timer's meeting at 11:40 AM the day of the event and you are allowed to leave as soon as the event has concluded.
