Volunteer: Buzz Brigade - Pollinator Garden Maintenance - Evansdale Campus - Welcome Week 2026
We need your help! Come join the Buzz Brigade and work alongside members of the WVU Sustainable Landscapes Committee to tidy up the pollinator garden on the green roof of the Agricultural Sciences Building on the Evansdale Campus. Volunteers are needed to help hand pull weeds and clear debris from the Agricultural Sciences Building Green Roof. Volunteers are reminded to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Volunteer: Flood Relief Back to School Bash VolunteerHelp children and families impacted by the recent flooding in Weston, WV by volunteering at a community-organized Back to School Bash. Volunteers will greet attendees, assist them with finding school supplies and clothing, organize and hand out items, and anything else that needs done. Transportation is being provided from the Morgantown Evansdale campus, for those that need it. We will depart at 12:45 pm and arrive back around 6:15 pm. The actual Bash is from 2 - 5 pm. Date: Sunday August 16, 2026 Venue: Saint Patrick's Church (210 Center Ave Weston, WV) Time: Event is 2 pm - 5 pm. Please see note about transportation above. Volunteer: OPERATION ACTIVET 5th annual celebration rideThe ride will have a registration process from 10 am to noon. A team will be needed to assist with setup for this. It will consist of setting up tables, chairs, a few portable canopies, and loading bins with drinks. The registration will be divided into stations, so the supplies will need to be in place before the rider's arrival. We are requesting everyone to be there by 9 am that morning. The bike send-off will happen shortly after everyone has gone through registration. After the bikes leave, we help Triple S break down the setup, which takes about an hour. Volunteers will stand outside near collection containers while they greet students and parents and help them recycle their boxes. Last year volunteers recycled 14 tons of cardboard during student move-in! Be a part of this HUGE sustainability effort and sign up today! See schedule below for days and times and contact coordinator if you have a residence hall preference. Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing.
