Who We Are

Mission Statement

Milan Puskar Health Right is a primary care clinic that provides health care at no cost to uninsured or underinsured low income residents of North Central West Virginia. Milan Puskar Health Right promotes health through direct service, education and advocacy.

Value Statement

Milan Puskar Health Right believes in the dignity and worth of all people. Basic non-judgmental health care is a right, not a privilege. MPHR provides compassionate care that starts with the expressed needs of the patient. MPHR advocates for patients individually and collectively at the local, state and national level to ensure the best possible outcomes.

What We Do

Health Right providers see scheduled patients in our clinic in Morgantown. All health care, including prevention, health awareness, and chronic disease management, are free of charge to qualified patients and are offered in clinics or in group education. MPHR provided medical care, case management support, and showers to 231 people experiencing homelessness in the last year.

MPHR social workers attend weekly community-wide multidisciplinary team meetings to assist in better coordination of services and increased housing for those in need. Health Right takes the initiative to address unmet health care needs in our communities.

With the support of local hospitals, referrals are available to eligible Health Right patients for lab work, testing, treatment, and some specialty care.

Services We Provide:

MPHR arranged free dental care for more than 180 patients last year, provided eye exams/glasses to 209 individuals and provided primary health care to 1470 individuals. More than 53% of primary care patients are uninsured and 47% have Medicaid.
