WVU Sierra Student Coalition

The WVU Sierra Student Coalition is a subsidiary of the Sierra Club, a national environmental organization whose mission is to "Explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the Earth". The Coalition is a large, active community of environmentally conscious students primarily engaged in wilderness outings, volunteerism, and campaigns to promote sustainability on campus.

We encourage people to spend time outdoors to develop a love of the Earth. We monitor legislation and political positions to guard against moves to degrade the environment and create more pollution. We work hard to raise awareness of climate change and encourage solutions.
