Who We Are
The JTMCIC was established in 1999 by the WV legislature. The office is administered under the Cabinet Secretary's Office of WV DHHR. The commission meets quarterly and is composed of six governor-appointed commissioners -- a physician, attorney, nurse, social worker and two community members at large.
What We Do
The JTMCIC provides life-saving medical and travel assistance to West Virginians who have life-threatening illnesses and no other resources are available. So if someone is denied Medicaid and cannot get other insurance or travel assistance, they may be eligible to receive our free services by calling 304-558-6073.
