Preston County Parks and Recreation

To manage the development, operations, and maintenance of lifelong leisure and recreational opportunities for the citizens and visitors of Preston County. The PCPaRC will also assist local communities in accomplishing their individual goals for improving the health and wellness of their present populations and future generations.

PCPaRC develops and maintains the Deckers Creek Trailhead Park in Masontown and the West Virginia Northern Rail-Trail stretching from Kingwood to Tunnelton. We are currently working on building two trailhead parks at both ends of the 10-mile WVNRT in Kingwood and Tunnelton. In addition to those big projects, we organize the Wellness in the Park fitness program, the Preston Rambles program, the Junior Rangers camp and club, and are currently working on developing more community programming. Special events include bike races, 5ks, holiday recreation events, and more.
