WVU Extension is woven throughout all of West Virginia’s 55 counties. Our experts bring knowledge and expertise to communities to improve lives and livelihoods. As part of that work, WVU Extension relies on dedicated volunteers to carry out our land-grant mission.
Our volunteers provide thousands of hours of service to the state and its people. Whether it is volunteering for a specific event or outreach project, or taking on a leadership role in one of our volunteer organizations, there are opportunities for everyone.
Volunteering with WVU Extension offers personal and professional development opportunities, as well as excellent training that helps us provide meaningful programs that benefit youths and adults. Your connections to local communities are a tremendous asset to WVU Extension. In fact, you keep our work relevant by helping to identify needs in your community. We encourage you to explore ways that you, as a WVU Extension volunteer, can have fun while making a positive difference in the lives of the people we serve.
