Shinnston Turkey Trot benefiting the Marie Gaston Scholarship Fund

The Marie Gaston Scholarship Fund is a nonprofit organization to benefit Harrison County 4-H. The Shinnston Turkey Trot is the primary fundraiser for our scholarship. The morning of the 5K we will also collect food for The Lord's Pantry.

We give were there is a need at Harrison County 4-H camp.  We provide dinner Sunday evening for all camp staff and children.  The scholarship has purchased STEM kits along with recreation actives to enrich camp for each child.  Special programs have been brought in as assemblies to "Make The Best Better". Finally we offer financial scholarships to campers.  There are are many big and small ways the Marie Gaston Scholarship Fund has enhanced the camp experience at Harrison County 4-H camp for the children and volunteers.
