Description

The WVU Core Arboretum, a 91-acre tract of hillside and bottomland near the WVU Coliseum, located between Monongahela Boulevard and the Monongahela River. The Arboretum has 3 miles of foot trails, lawns with planted trees and shrubs, old growth forest on hillside and floodplain sites, interpretive signs, trailside benches, a small amphitheater, and an information kiosk.

Volunteers will assist with litter pick-up and invasive species removal. Volunteers should wear long sleeves and pants, in addition to close-toed shoes.

Transportation will not be provided, however you should plan to meet at the Arboretum next to the coliseum. Due to the NCAA Regional Gymnastics being held at the WVU Coliseum, parking may be limited. We recommend riding the PRT to the Engineering station and walking. Volunteers should arrive by 8:50 AM
